on Carpet, Upholstery & Mattresses
Unfortunately carpet cleaning does not address bodily fluid odors from
humans or pets. An odor treatment service must be used in conjunction with the cleaning. We offer 2 treatment options
and depending on the situation, 1 or both treatments can be used.
Note:
Cat Spray is nearly impossible to remove or to locate all sources therefore, there's a small rate
of success.
Option #1 Our Exclusive "Flush -N- Rinse" A deep and
lengthy treatment to remove maximum amounts of bodily fluids and to destroy the odor. Commonly used for pet urine.
This treatment cannot
be preformed on an entire room, mattress or piece of furniture. The location(s) must be known. It's ideal for 1 - 5 small
spots or areas. For more areas, our surface treatment should be considered as a single treatment or as a combined
treatment.
The Flush n Rinse treatment steps taken: 1. Saturate area/spot with special urine treatment solution. 2. Allow enzyme based product to work
its magic for about 10 min. 3. Flush
the area with hot, high pressurized water to dilute and release the urine. 4. Rinse & Extract area using a special hand sub-floor tool connected to our
truck mounted equipment to remove maximum urine, water and solution from the carpet padding up, or from as far into the
cushion/mattress as we can possibly get. 5. Repeat all steps until maximum extraction is reached.

Success Rate)
Option #2 Surface Odor Treatment Used
when location is unknown or when there are too many areas to treat with the Flush n Rinse
This
treatment is not nearly as deep of a treatment as our Flush n Rinse process, however it does work for light situations and
can significantly help. Understand this option really only treats
the surface, and a little below the surface, so if the bodily fluid is deeply embedded below the surface, this treatment
will not reach the entire source.
Surface Treatment Steps:
- Heavily spray the surface of the carpet,
furniture/upholstery or mattress with an enzyme based product to attack the source of the odor.
Groom,
rake or brush the solution to make complete contact and to penetrate below the surface. Let solution dwell for about 10 min. to work at destroying
the odor source. Rinse
& Extract repeatedly with hot 210 degree water.
NOTE: Clean &
Green does NOT GUARANTEE a successful removal of organic bodily fluids, odors or stains from carpet or upholstery, due to it's damaging nature. However,
we've had tons of successful jobs. The
complete removal depends on so many factors
beyond our control (age of item, age of stain, type of odor, type of fabic/fiber, manufacturer brand, what treatment solutions
were used prior to our arrival, if item has a prior protective coating such as scotchguard or teflon),
cleaning frequencies, etc...) . If we can't completely remove it, we can ususally make
it look and smell much better.
Cats and dogs who tend to urinate in the corners or
along the edges of carpeted rooms, can penetrate walls and the carpet tack strip below the carpet which is wood and will
absorb urine.
Repeated urination or a soaking urination can also penetrate
the floor boards below the carpet padding and get trapped there.
When this happens, the only solution is to have the carpet
and padding removed, replace the floor boards or have them sealed, seal the wall with a paint sealant where the urine
is located and be sure to replace all carpet tack strips too.
